WebAnswers.com is a free question & answer website where you can ask your questions for free and can answer other people's questions.
What is the Awarded Answer?
The Awarded Answer is the selected answer that is picked by the person who asked the question. It is the reply that the qustion asker felt was the single best answer to their question. The person asking the question gets to pick from any answer that was posted to the question, and the original question asker selected as the definiative answer to their question.
How do I get paid for answering questions?
WebAnswers.com uses Google's AdSense contextual advertising program to generate revenue for the the users that have been "awarded answers" by the people asking the questions. Once an answer you have posted is selected as the best answer for the question, you will earn a percentage of the revenue generated by that question from Google AdSense.
How does Google pay me for answering questions on WebAnswers.com?
The process on how you get paid to answer questions is really quite simple. When you answer a few questions you will be prompted to either create or link up a Google AdSense account to your WebAnswers account. The page that you will do that from is here. Once you have an active Google AdSense account you can start earning money on WebAnswers. How this works is that when you answer questions your Google AdSense ID is shown in rotation with other users who have answered that question based your quality of answers that you have answered throughout the site. The higher your quality score and the more answers you answer, the more money you will make because your ads will be shown more often then not.
You will start to see money coming into your Google AdSense account when users visit WebAnswers.com either by finding the site through a link to the site, the search engines or some other way we haven't thought of. If this user happens to click on one of the ads on a question you answered while your Google AdSense ID is shown you'll make money. It is that simple. Note: Don't click your own ads, or tell people to click the ads. Google can and will terminate accounts for misconduct and violations of the Google AdSense terms and conditions. We have no control over anything Google decides to do on their end of the Google AdSense program.
The questions that have more traffic to them, will generate more money then those with little to no traffic. Seasonal questions will also ebb and flow as far as impressions and money made from them. Christmas questions will make very little money for you during the summer.

How do I increase the money that I make on WebAnswers.com?

Can I add additional text to my answer to prompt the user to award my answer as the best answer?
You cannot add additional text to your answer prompting the user to pick you as the best answer. This is considered answer gaming and is not allowed at WebAnswers.com. Infractions can result in modification or deletion of answers and possibly having your account deleted.
Will I get an email notifying me when someone replies to my question?
You will get one email for every time someone replies to one of your questions. This can be as quickly as within a few minutes of when you post your question, sometimes a few hours later. When you get the answer you need or within 72 hours, please come back and mark the answer you felt best answered your question.
Why am I not getting the reply notifications?
If you are not getting the email notifications, first make sure that you are set to receive them by checking yourAccount Details. The checkbox for receiving questions should be checked. Secondly, make sure thatinfo@WebAnswers.com is added to your white list or non-spam addresses. If you are using hotmail for your email then you may want to consider using a different email address. Currently hotmail users have trouble receiving our email notifications.
How do I turn off the email notifications?
If you wish to stop receiving the email notifications when someone responds to your question, there is a setting your Account Details to turn on and off those notifications.
Why did my question or answer get flagged for moderation approval?
WebAnswers.com uses a process to screen for questions or answers that have profane content or numerous misspellings in the post. This is done to ensure a high quality of posts and to ensure that the content being used is relevant to the question or answer if it profane in nature. Questions and answers in the moderation queue are usually approved in under an hour and will appear on the site at that time.

Someone is calling my home phone asking for some celebrity. How do I get my phone number off of this site?
If someone has posted your phone number as some celebrity's phone number on the site. You can do 1 of 2 things. Either 1. You can mark that answer as abuse and a moderator will remove the content or 2. you canemail us with your phone number and a moderator will remove the content.
The fastest way to have it seen by a moderator and removed is to create an account on WebAnswers and click the mark as abuse option next to the phone number you want removed.
